According to an ESPN report, the New York Knicks have acquired Zach Randolph from the Portland Trail Blazers in a five-player deal.

The Knicks are sending Channing Frye and Steve Francis to the Blazers for Randolph, Dan Dickau and Fred Jones.

Randolph averaged 23.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game last season and has four years and more than $61 million left on his contract.

Francis, who has two seasons left on his deal, is owed about $34 million. According to ESPN, the Trail Blazers are planning to buy him out and make him a free agent this summer.

Frye, who will share minutes in Portland's front court with top pick Greg Oden and LaMarcus Aldridge, averaged 9.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in 72 games with the Knicks last season.

Paris Hilton's post-jail appearance on CNN's "Larry King Live" drew about 3.2 million viewers, nearly triple the show's average audience.

Hilton's first TV chat since her release from jail aired Wednesday and gave King's show its best ratings of the year to date for a regularly scheduled telecast, CNN said Thursday. The program has been drawing about 1.1 million daily viewers.

The release date of Britney Spears new album has been pushed to 2008.

The album was believed to have come out at the end of this year but Spears spokesperson Leslie Sloane Zelnik has now declared the release is being put back.

"I put her on hiatus. Brit's album is pushed until '08. If she has no album, there's no reason to do anything," she explained. "I'm representing her in theory right now. I said that since the album is pushed back until '08, let's go on hiatus until we have a campaign to do."

It is believed Spears is working on tracks with producers Sean Garrett and Jonathan Rotem.

A "music industry insider" quoted by Life & Style magazine said: "I'm surprised the album has not been pushed back to '09. Jive (Spears record label) hated the songs Britney was coming up with, except a few. The executives are not happy."

Five journalists and a 10th grade literature teacher have been jailed in Mali for reporting on a high school essay assignment about an imaginary presidential sex scandal.

The first to be arrested was Seydine Oumar Diarra, editor of Info-Matin, who was jailed last week after publishing The Mistress of the President, an article featuring an interview with the teacher who assigned the essay about the fictional scandal in order to explore issues of moral corruption.

An energy magnate's estranged wife was awarded $184 million Monday in what appears to be one of the biggest divorce verdicts in U.S. history.

Citing irreconcilible differences, Maya Polsky, a 55-year-old homemaker and art gallery owner, filed for divorce from her husband, Michael Polsky, in 2003.

Judge William Boyd had ruled in October that Maya Polsky was entitled to half of the Chicago couple's cash and assets, with her share valued at $176 million. On Monday, the judge amended his decision to include previously omitted assets that increased the value of her award to $184 million.

Maya Polsky's attorney, Howard Rosenfeld, said more than $170 million of the award is nontaxable cash. He said that in researching the case he could find nothing in which a homemaker wife received such a significant award. "She's very much satisfied with the court's decision. She thinks she was fairly treated by the court," Rosenfeld said.
